One of the Best Tours of Our Lives
Our recent journey through Amritsar, Himachal Pradesh, and Delhi turned out to be nothing short of magical! We booked our trip through Travel Addict, owned and operated by the highly enthusiastic and experienced Mr. Vinay Sharma. After a lucky Google search, we took a chance on his agency—and it was one of the best decisions we’ve made.
Our adventure began upon arriving at Amritsar Airport, where our driver, Mr. Vicky Singh, greeted us with a warm smile. He escorted us to our hotel, which turned out to be one of the best accommodations we’ve ever stayed in. That evening, we visited the Wagah Border, a powerful and patriotic experience. Mr. Vicky even guided us to some fantastic local restaurants, giving us an authentic taste of Amritsari cuisine.
Later, we visited the iconic Golden Temple. Mr. Vicky went out of his way to help me fulfill a dream of wearing a traditional pag (turban) by finding a shop with reasonable prices. We stayed at the temple until 1:30 am, fully immersing ourselves in the peaceful atmosphere. Despite the late hour, Mr. Vicky waited patiently, never once hurrying us—his kindness and dedication made us feel incredibly valued.
The following morning, around 8 am, our new driver, Mr. Lokesh Kapoor, called to let us know he was ready for the next leg of our trip to Himachal Pradesh. Despite our delayed start, Mr. Lokesh was wonderfully understanding and assured us that he was at our service 24/7. His warm personality set the tone for an unforgettable journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Himachal Pradesh—majestic mountains, lush greenery, and a glimpse into the vibrant local culture.
In Dalhousie, we stayed at a wonderful hotel where both breakfast and dinner were delicious, adding to our enjoyment. Mr. Lokesh took us to explore Khajjiar (the “Mini Switzerland” of India), Panchpula, and nearby adventure sites where we had a blast with activities like giant swings and ziplining. His knowledge of the area led us to hidden gems, from scenic spots to hygienic and budget-friendly restaurants.
We continued to Dharamshala, where Mr. Vinay had thoughtfully arranged our stay at our suggested hotel, which had outstanding food and comfort. Mr. Lokesh was an invaluable guide, carefully driving us to McLeodganj, where we enjoyed shopping and temple visits—a truly mesmerizing experience.
One of the most memorable parts was the early-morning departure to Bir Billing for paragliding. Mr. Lokesh was ready for us at 4 am, making sure we arrived on time for the adventure. When we encountered an issue with our paragliding booking, he stepped in, helping us arrange a flight with another company at a lower cost. His commitment and resourcefulness were truly remarkable, and he even accompanied us to Chandigarh for the final leg of our journey.
Throughout the entire trip, Mr. Vinay Sharma kept in touch, checking in regularly to ensure everything was perfect. His personalized attention gave us peace of mind and made us feel truly looked after.
In Delhi, our final stop, we explored historical sites, vibrant markets, and delicious eateries. The seamless planning by Travel Addict and the dedication of our drivers, who became like friends, made this trip a dream come true.
This journey started as a random choice but has turned into one of our most cherished memories. We highly recommend Mr. Vinay Sharma and his team at Travel Addict for anyone wanting to explore India with knowledgeable, friendly guides who truly care about your experience.
Everything was so beautifully managed, and we’re beyond grateful.
A ton of thanks,
